COMPLEX MINING SOLUTIONS FROM MODERN HEAVY INDUSTRIES

Modern Heavy Industries is a supplier of underground structures for the Oyu Tolgoi mining project in South Gobi, Mongolia. The Oyu Tolgoi mine (Оюу Толгой) is a combined open pit and underground mining project in Khanbogd sum, about 235 kilometres east of the Ömnögovi Province capital Dalanzadgad. Oyu Tolgoi is one of the largest known copper and gold deposits in the world, and the largest financial undertaking in Mongolia's history. Once completed it will be the world’s third largest copper mine and the largest industrial complex ever built in Mongolia.
Oyu Tolgoi deposits contain an estimated 2,700,000 tons of copper, 1.7 million ounces (48 tons) of gold, 1900 tons of silver, and 205,000 tons of molybdenum. For this project, Modern Heavy Industries' scope includes equipment supports, overhead crane structures, modular conveyors, transfer stations, drive stations, diverter chutes, wear plates, walkways, handrails, pulley pedestals, etc.
