Boiler Structural Steel
MDHI main shop is purpose-built to produce heavy assemblies used in the boiler structures of power plants. Large plate girders, wide box Columns, and heavy built-up sections are produced using semi-automated gantry welding machines and track-mounted electro-slag welding machines. Flange thickness can exceed 200mm, with installed lifting capacity at 200 tons. There is added capacity for extra heavy assembles exceeding 250 tons. Multi-axis mills are used to ensure zero tolerance / zero gap at the baseplate joints and other critical mating surfaces.
